Anonymity Preserving Self Reporting System

The idea is to provide citizens and residents of Luxembourg with a way to publicly and anonymously report the town they live in, upon testing positive for the corona virus. The resulting figure will be displayed on a map, either for government or public consumption. Allowing decision makers and/or individuals to better inform their actions.

CELL - Covid-19 pandEmic simuLator review for Luxembourg

Epidemic simulators are one of the essential tools for understanding and combating epidemic crises. They could assist researchers in better understanding the functioning of the dissemination process, but also empower decision-makers to try and assess different policies. In particular, they should be able to help with the projection of patient numbers, epicenters identification, intervention plan analysis, and resource management measures. With Covid-19, it is therefore required to assess if the existing simulation tools and the newly built/upcoming ones rely on realistic-enough propagatio...

CORONA APP

Tracking and data management: The project is to develop a method for monitoring, identifying, and predicting geographical clusters in which the coronavirus is prevalent and will likely spread, by tracking symptoms throughout Luxembourg.

CoLiBri - COVID19 Literature Browser for Scientific Investigations

Papyrus is a fully operational web-based corpus visualization software developed at LIST, providing interactive visual maps of topics extracted automatically from thousands of articles without prior knowledge of their contents. It can handle emerging situations where new vocabulary arises for the first time. Papyrus was previously validated with PubMed publications. It also uses the MESH ontology to extract medically relevant concepts, which are leveraged in several visualizations and in semantic search queries. Unlike search engines or faceted search, the provided interactive visualization...

DIS-COVID: A privacy-friendly, user-centric framework for estimating crowd mobility patterns and ...

Modelling the spread of an epidemic over a given territory requires detailed understanding of how the population moves, interacts and behaves. This usually relies on location information (e.g. GPS from smartphones) or cellular datasets (i.e. Call Detail Records aggregating communications over a cellular network). Analysis of such data provides the foundation to develop strategies to prevent further spreading. However, access to this data is subject to controversy, first of all because it is not respectful of the individuals' privacy. Furthermore, analysing this data does not provide a full ...

Data science aided adaptive strategy for anti-body testing to manage post-outbreak and future outbreaks

Why? Anti-body tests are paramount to understand the extent of herd immunity developed in the community. Thus, these tests can help plan public outreach by local authorities during and after an outbreak. Further, it can aid in developing containment strategies to prevent a subsequent wave of the outbreak. In a scenario where the current pandemic becomes seasonal, anti-body tests would help to strategize responses seasonally, including vaccination campaigns. On a personal level, it can help an individual take appropriate preventive and precautionary measures. What? A data-driven applica...
