An Experimental test of Hospital Admission Guidelines

The project consists in an anonymous survey experiment on hospital guidelines during pandemics, such as those indicated by the Commission Nationale D'Ethique. Hospital guidelines are there to regulate admissions and treatment in case of congestion. Such guidelines, however, are rarely discussed in the media and most people are unlikely to be familiar with them. We propose to ask respondents whether they agree or not with the ethical principles of such guidelines and which ethical principles they would favor the most. In particular, we ask them to read a number of hypothetical scenarios on ...

CAILA - COVID-19 Artificial Intelligent Legal Advisor

We propose to build an artificial intelligent legal advisor that can automatically answer legal questions concerning the COVID-19 crisis and its aftermath via a conversational interface (chatbot). Distributional impact of the COVID-19 Crisis

The project aims to assess the costs and distributional implications of the COVID-19 outbreak in Luxembourg. It will identify those most likely to suffer from income losses, leading to more effective/efficient targeting of income support measures and improved cost estimates of COVID-19. The lack of timely available data constrains the estimation of the scale and direction of recent changes in the income distribution, which in turn constrain policymakers seeking to monitor such developments. There are huge uncertainties about the budgetary costs and distributional impacts of the outbreak....
